Membership & Outreach Coordinator
The Southeast Climate & Energy Network (SCEN) seeks a Membership & Outreach Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of recruitment and retention of SCEN member organizations as well as outreach programs to advocate, promote, and celebrate the actions and achievements of our members. The Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director and works closely with the Advancement Manager and Operations & Communications Manager of the SCEN team. Each member of the team works remotely from home-based or satellite offices across the Southeast and interfaces daily with one another and SCEN members using mobile office technology. Travel to outreach programs, team retreats, conferences, workshops, and member events is required, totaling approximately 15-25 days each fiscal year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of member relations (60%):
Foster positive relationships with prospective and current members by acting as main point of contact and responding to inquiries about membership and member benefits, including administering process of new member applications and overseeing annual membership renewals and prospective member outreach;
Maintain regular member outreach. Develop and implement strategies for retention of existing members and recruitment and cultivation of new members, including the creation of new member benefits and regular solicitation of member feedback;
Curate SCEN virtual resources for members;
Manage SCEN evaluation programs with a focus on member service excellence, including but not limited to, biannual member survey, and ongoing program and service evaluations;
Maintain membership records and online membership directory and create membership reports. Provide development and coordination of programs and services for regional strategic partnerships (25%):
Support the Director of Programs in developing and implementing new strategic partner programs and services as the need is identified and feasibility is determined.
Manage SCENs short-term consulting service for members and strategic partners, including providing relevant information and resources on request, soliciting input from staff within their areas of expertise as needed
Manage operational needs for membership and strategic partnerships (15%):
Support the Operations & Communications Manager with website content and functionality to enhance membership and strategic partnership programs;
Coordinate membership billing and tracking with accounting staff;
Complete other projects and tasks as assigned.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple program initiatives simultaneously, and attract the required resources to deliver programs effectively and ensure sustainability;
Comfort with working virtually from a remote location and enthusiasm for connecting via mobile office technology with SCEN team members in multiple locations;
Creativity and problem-solving skills;
Technical expertise in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Membership or constituent database experience preferred (SCEN uses Hubspot);
Ease and interest in videoconferencing, such as Zoom and Hangouts.

SALARY
USD $22,000 - USD $25,000 / year
