Donor Engagement Coordinator

POSITION TITLE: Donor Engagement Coordinator

LOCATION: Remote; anywhere in US with a willingness to travel to Spring Lake Ranch 3 or 4 times per year

REPORTS TO: Development and Communications Manager

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Full-time; exempt

SALARY RANGE: $40,000-$45,000

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Donor Engagement Coordinator will assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing the annual giving cycle. They will take the lead on donor stewardship and communications for donors up to the $1,000 giving level, and manage our in-person, hybrid, and virtual engagement events. The Donor Engagement Coordinator provides a positive and customized experience for donors while growing strong relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Along with the rest of the team, actively contribute to creating the annual fundraising plan and following through on its successful completion.

  • Assist the Development and Communications Manager with a strategy to retain and grow individual giving through a host of channels including sustained giving, direct mail, email, and video solicitations.

  • Manage relationships and communications with donors up to the $1,000 giving level.

  • Maintaining and as needed, growing the existing stewardship program for donors at the above level.

  • Oversee all aspects of the annual Spring Lake Ranch Family Weekend(s) and provide input for other special events.

  • Launch pilot program of virtual events for SLR alumni and current families, from the lens of potential donor cultivation.

  • Manages day-to-day development operations including timely gift processing and acknowledging, database maintenance (currently Donor Perfect), data and report gathering, and answering donor communications.

  • Contribute to print communications such as bi-annual print newsletter, annual report, and holiday cards.

  • Liaise with Development Committee and other volunteers as acknowledgement and solicitation resources.

  • Identify areas where operational efficiency and systems could be improved and advise on strategies to address identified needs.

  • Contributes to departmental performance and outcome data as needed.

  • Other duties as requested

COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the SLR Mission, Vision and Core Values.

  • Represent Spring Lake Ranch professionally and positively to others including employers, volunteer contacts, friends, interns, volunteers, visitors, candidates, the general public, etc.

  • Maintain resident/client privacy by keeping personal information confidential in accordance with federal HIPAA legislation and Spring Lake Ranch policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of previous fundraising experience, including event management.

  • Remote-work experience preferred

  • Schedule flexible with some core EST business hours needed; the team will communicate with each other to make the flexible schedules work for all.

  • Proven proficient ability to use independent judgment, effective analytical decision-making, and appropriate time management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, computer, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word

  • Physical capability including moderate lifting, carrying, etc.

  • Ability to manage stress (for yourself and others) effectively while maintaining a sense of humor.

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and on-going commitment to performance excellence and improvement.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of team.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
