About the Role:
GenderCool’s Digital Experience Manager is responsible for guiding digital strategy. Reporting to the Director of Operations & Programs and collaborating with the Executive Director and development team, the Digital Experience Manager funnels GenderCool’s campaigns and goals through social media best practices to build and execute strategies across all digital platforms. The Digital Experience Manager should have a desire to be part of a rapidly-growing social movement, fueled by the young people ages 12 to 17 whom we call the GenderCool Champions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop an on-brand content calendar for GenderCool, encompassing Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our monthly newsletter
Manage all owned organic social media (i.e., publish content, monitor comments, active community listening, engage with partners and allies, share and amplify content, identify potential partners and donors)
Create and edit videos, images, and write copy for social media
Work with multiple GenderCool Champions 2-3 times per quarter to create content
Produce scrappy, short-format videos for social media
Work with paid social media contractors to maximize campaign reach
Support allies and corporate partners with social media messaging as needed
Establish shot lists, and be prepared to manage/direct professional photo/video staff at GenderCool events
Attend events or be accessible for travel 1-3 times per quarter (depending on COVID)

Strong writing skills for social and short video scripts
High emotional intelligence
Strong organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines
Must be able to connect respectfully and work with young transgender and non-binary youth ages 12 to 17, and their parents
Collaborative, communicative, and kind spirited
Scrappy and creative
Be deeply dedicated to GenderCool’s mission and campaign goals
Skills & Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience strategically managing social media brands
Minimum 2 years experience managing digital projects, especially projects that include multiple stakeholders
Understanding of LGTBQ+ community, specifically the transgender community
Experience working with youth
Video editing skills
Copywriting skills, especially for social media content
Adaptable - able to work/operate on the fly
Photography and videography skills/equipment
Graphic design
Analytics skills
Email newsletter management experience
Ability to work with fundraising and development staff
Experience working remotely
Must be located in Eastern or Central Time Zone (GMT-6, GMT-5)
Salary and Hiring Information
Remote full-time employee
Estimated Time Requirement: 40 hours per week
$50,000 annually
Ideal start date: February 1, 2022
