Marketing and Media Manager
The Marketing and Media Manager is responsible for the digital tools and metrics that drive Family Promise’s external relations, including the website, press outreach, thought leadership, influencer engagement, and corporate partner PR. The Manager works on a team of communications and fundraising professionals and reports to the Chief Impact Officer. The position focuses on the technical side of the marketing and fundraising operation, produces analytics that demonstrate impact, collaborates with staff who generate creative content, and executes distribution and tracking of content.
Responsibilities
Maintains the Family Promise website, which includes posting content, monitoring SEO, Google Ad Words, and the donation page.
Conducts digital media monitoring—tracking brand compliance, impact, and sentiment across all media.
Executes strategy for engaging influencers and micro-influencers (social media influencers, celebrities, policymakers, etc).
Conducts media outreach and builds relationships with journalists. Writes and distributes press releases and tracks placements.
Acts as point person with corporate partners on joint PR. Writes and approves quotes from organizational leadership.
Plans and executes town halls/press conferences as part of our external relations efforts.
Works with the development team on fundraising campaigns, setting up digital platforms, as needed.
Serves as the liaison to the Family Promise National Board’s Brand and Marketing Committee, setting the agenda, preparing metrics, and creating presentations.
Collaborates on strategy related to local and national public awareness campaigns.
Tracks social media analytics and advises creative team on effective strategies.
Oversees marketing/communications interns.
Qualifications
Adept at website management, particularly WordPress, and metric applications.
Skilled at developing and tracking marketing analytics. Experience with Salesforce/Pardot a plus.
Familiarity with Meltwater or other media monitoring tool.
Ability to set up interviews and work proactively and responsively with the press.
Passion for Family Promise's mission - to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.
Commitment to equity and social justice.
Reputation as a team player and comfort interfacing with all levels of staff and external audiences.
Professional, conscientious, friendly, and enthusiastic.
Ability to effectively multi-task, to establish priorities, to work and make judgments independently, and take initiative.
Proficiency with Adobe and Office 365 applications.
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or other relevant areas a plus.
Salary and Benefits
USD $60,000 - USD $68,000 / year
