POSITION TITLE: Operations and Communications Associate

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

EMPath manages a learning network, the Economic Mobility Exchange (“Exchange”). The Exchange is comprised of 140+ organizations and government agencies from around the world interested in learning about and implementing EMPath’s Mobility Mentoring® approach and tools used to support low-income families and individuals in their goal to become economically self-sufficient. The Operations and Communications Associate will be responsible for providing administrative and communications support to the Exchange, managing databases and technology and communication systems intended to facilitate increased communication and knowledge exchange amongst Exchange members as well as operational support for the growth of the network. 

SUPERVISOR: Director of Operations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB:

  • Manage membership data entry and reporting in Neon, the department’s customer relationship management (CRM) database; 

  • Prepare and disseminate monthly metrics reports; 

  • Analyze and report on trends from data captured in CRM, Mailchimp, and other data sources

  • Manage member online portal, updating resources and content, creating portal accounts for members, and moderating member driven communications as necessary

  • Coordinate with Director of Operations as well as Finance Department to manage new and annual membership renewals 

  • Coordinate logistics for trainings and department events (e.g. creating and shipping training packets, ordering food, communications, etc.)

  • Coordinate and support communications and marketing plans to advance and support the growth of the Economic Mobility Exchange, in partnership with Institutional Advancement, Director of Operations & Member Relations

  • In collaboration with Director of Operations, develop and administer annual member survey, assist with data analysis and production of annual report

  • Brand, update and disseminate EMPath tools to Exchange members in collaboration with other departments. 

  • Work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Exchange staff to provide technical support for the monthly Exchange webinar series.

  • Other related research, administrative, and data management duties as necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in using technology to find innovative ways to communicate and share information 

  • Experience managing online discussion groups, and/or working with an online communication platform

  • Capacity and capability to learn new software programs and train staff and network members in these programs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; with great attention to detail

  • Experience in a fast-paced innovative environment

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on a diverse set of business and organizational opportunities and challenges

  • Flexible, high degree of comfort with ambiguity, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humor essential

  • Commitment to EMPath’s mission

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred, (or equivalent work experience) Preferably in business management, administration, communications, design, or similar field. 

  • 3 years of related work experience 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Work is performed in an office environment.

Salary

USD $48,000 - USD $52,000 / year
