Marketing Manager
Description
Galapagos Conservancy seeks a full-time Marketing Manager who has a passion for wildlife conservation and the skills to develop digital communications that supports the organization’s objectives. The ideal candidate is an experienced web and social media manger with a strong background in content curation, creation and distribution across multiple channels. This role is responsible for driving awareness, engagement and online giving through a variety of outreach initiatives. A self-motivated, organized marketer with attention-to-detail will succeed in this position. Prioritization is highly important, along with the ability to successfully manage multiple channels with little oversight. This position reports to the Director of Communications. Applicants in the Northern Virginia area preferred; remote (within the US) will be considered. Application deadline is February 26, 2021.

Requirements
Support the Director of Communications with curating and disseminating digital and editorial content through the website and social media platforms
Report on digital, web and social media metrics and implement adjustments to enhance supporter engagement
Manage digital touch points; develop online and email funnels for Galapagos Conservancy’s supporter segments
Provide recommendations to optimize traffic, response rates, SEO and SEM
Draft measurable plans to drive awareness, audience engagement and online donations
Steward social media communities (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Medium and YouTube)
Monitor trends in the digital space and continually explore new opportunities; keep the organization at the forefront of advancements in digital marketing
Research, write and post daily channel and audience-specific social media content in accordance with organizational voice and current best practices
Serve as primary point person to respond to constituent inquiries from social media and other channels
Manage and maintain Galapagos Conservancy’s database of digital assets
Other duties and projects as assigned
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in digital marketing and website management
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web CMS (WordPress, Squarespace)
Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 365 proficiency
Passion for wildlife conservation and Galapagos
Up-to-date on digital and online marketing trends, strategies and best practices
Intermediate Spanish language proficiency
Ability to work in a fast-paced, detailed and deadline-oriented environment
Preferred:
Experience building funnel marketing fundraising platforms and campaigns

This is a full-time position. Salary is competitive based on skills and experience, and there exists significant room for advancement, based on performance. This position is classified as non-exempt from overtime pay as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
