Data Entry Specialist
Do you love working with data all day, every day? If yes, Everyday Democracy is seeking a Data Entry Specialist. This position is for a professional skilled in working with data and data systems, specifically, CiviCRM programs. The Data Entry Specialist supports all units across the organization. This position plays an essential role within Everyday Democracy by ensuring that our data inputs and outputs are accurate, timely and useful, keeping us on track as a data driven organization. The position offers the flexibility of working remotely on a long term basis.
Essential Duties
Perform all data entry related tasks that include compiling, cleaning, sorting and entering data into appropriate programs used by the organization
Monitor our CiviCRM database and routinely conduct data checks for duplicate records, append current address/phone information and identify data gaps in activity reporting documentation
Identify and set data input standards for the organization based on best practices for our CiviCRM system
Generate reports on projects’ data from database systems, as requested
Assess the organization’s internal shared documents data filing system and research program options to make recommendations to improve data access efficiency
Support organizational learning in data efficiency and utilization
Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings that include: team, all staff, project based and check-ins with supervisor
Any other administrative duties assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree required
Certification in data entry, data management or database administration, accepted; background or specific interest in IT is a plus
Knowledgeable of CiviCRM
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level attention to details
Autonomous worker
Comfortable operating various forms of technology
Able to work with teams effectively
Knowledge of community based work, i.e., community organizing, public or community engagement is a plus
Experience and/or knowledge working within the nonprofit sector is a plus
Familiar with concepts related to social and racial justice is a plus
Required Experience
2-3 years of professional experience working in data entry and/or database administration
Experience working with different technology and databases, i.e., CiviCRM, Survey Monkey, Excel, Microsoft Office 365, etc.
Experience working with qualitative and quantitative data
Able to work with data compiled from various digital platforms
Set up to work remotely for extended period of time
Work Environment
Remote and/or in office setting
M-F, normal business hours
