Yet 1 in 5 people in Marin County, California, worry about where their next meal will come from.
Helping to end hunger and waste in Marin — extrafood.org ExtraFood continues to rescue excess fresh food and deliver freshly-prepared meals for the people most in need in Marin County during this crisis.
Social Media Marketing Manager (Part Time)
This position, reporting to the Executive Director, is responsible for authoring posts on social media channels and ExtraFood’s website in alignment with ExtraFood’s brand and marketing strategy. The Social Media Marketing Manager will develop and manage social media content that will engage stakeholders and create a closer relationship between the community and ExtraFood. This is a part-time, contract, remote position. The ideal candidate will be proven effective at developing a social media calendar and crafting impactful and engaging social media posts, able to quickly learn ExtraFood’s core messaging and marketing objectives, and engaged with our mission.
Oversee social media calendar/campaigns and ensure brand consistency through tone, voice, images and terminology
Align social media postings with marketing, fundraising, volunteer recognition, and partner recognition campaigns
Monitor the organization’s social media accounts, provide constructive interaction with the community, and communicate ideas, successes and issues to staff.
Track impact of social media investments
Post occasional news and updates on ExtraFood’s website
Required skills/experience include:
3-5 years social media marketing experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Fluent with Facebook (including paid advertising), Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram
Available 5-10 hours/week, with timing by mutual agreement
3-5 posting/writing samples
2 professional references
The following skills/experience are a plus:
Content Management System experience, eg. Craft, Expression Engine, Wordpress
Hootsuite or other multi-social posting experience
Knowledge of marketing analytics tools, eg. Google Analytics
Search Engine Optimization skills
