Your role
As Data Insights Manager, you will join the ASI Strategy and Development team. While reporting directly to the ASI Strategy Director, your role will require close interaction with all ASI business units as well as with external clients. Your core responsibilities will include:
Play a critical role as a bridge or ‘data translator’ between ASI data analytics and ASI operational needs, including with ASI internal and external clients;
Support the implementation of strategies and tools in order to improve the ASI data infrastructure and ASI data governance, including building up the ASI data insights team;
Support the prioritization and actual pilot testing of ASI data insights work in an agile and iterative way;
Identify and create value from data for internal and external customers.
What you bring
Our ideal candidate brings a combination of knowledge, skills and experience, demonstrated by:
A degree in a field related to data value creation, business analytics, natural science or a related degree;
5+ years of professional work experience;
Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects;
Well-developed analytical and systematic problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex systems and to translate them to different users;
Experience with the CRISP-DM process model or with comparable approaches is an asset.
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills (understanding of Salesforce or similar CRM systems, of GIS platforms and Business analytics platforms (i.e. MS Power BI) is an asset);
Talent to prioritize, plan and organize work independently;
Experience in providing training and capacity building in data insights related topics;
Readiness to work in a multicultural, multi- ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds;
Interest to connect and work successfully with our global team, both remotely and in person;
Willingness to communicate well with clients and to establish and maintain effective relationships with a high level of service awareness;
Ability to work in the international arena where limited travel may be required;
Proven fluency in oral and written English. Proficiency in at least one other language is an asset.
