Video Coordinator

Color Of Change PAC is hiring a Video Coordinator! This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team and work to center and uplift Black joy and build Black political power.

OVERVIEW 

Color Of Change PAC is running an innovative organizing program in 2020 to build leadership and volunteer capacity in Black communities across the country. This organizing program is about centering Black Joy and building Black political power. 

The Digital Team is a key part of this organizing program, owning online member engagement, fundraising, advertising, innovation, and growth. This position is perfect for someone excited about helping execute a large-scale member recruitment and engagement program. 

This position will report to the Senior Digital Manager. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Communicate with Color Of Change PAC members to collect member videos about elections we’re working on and general Get Out The Vote efforts and help manage and process the video content created

  • Work remotely with members in locations where Color Of Change PAC is working on electoral races to collect videos and highlight fieldwork through video content

  • Work with the Color Of Change Video Squad, a group of 17 committed members who are passionate about video storytelling around racial justice issues, to help create video projects related to elections

  • Work with our social media manager to come up with creative tactics to use member video content on Color Of Change PAC social media channels, including new channels like TikTok and IGTV

QUALIFICATIONS 

The right candidate will have a strong mix of the following: 

  • A strong racial justice analysis, and a commitment to centering and uplifting Black joy 

  • Digital campaigning experience, and - if none - strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically about how to use media to reach people and drive action

  • Experience directly organizing with people and building deep relationships, including through digital means

  • Great communications skills, including communicating with new people through digital platforms and communicating across teams within an organization

  • Ability to work nimbly in a fast-paced environment, regularly meeting deadlines and setting/exceeding expectations 

  • Experience using video and storytelling as organizing tools and in digital ads/social media preferred, but not required
