Grantwriter / Development Consultant
**NOTE: This is a remote job opportunity. You are welcome to work from home!**
Responsibilities
Develop a fundraising and grant writing strategy from scratch, considering prospective funders in the realms of Jewish life and community building, education, teacher development, and leadership development.
Creatively source for granting organizations and funding opportunities.
Write, assemble, edit, and submit accurate grant proposals in a timely manner to a variety of funding organizations and foundations.
Maintain a complete schedule of application and reporting deadlines.
Collaborate with the Community Director and program staff to obtain program information, assess needs, and provide accurate reporting.
Queue up the Community Director, preparing her for ongoing reporting, advising on fundraising strategy, supporting funder relationship management, and preparing for future fundraising asks.
Prior experience and skills
Commitment to ensuring equity and inclusiveness in a community of peers with diverse backgrounds and identities.
Successful track record of procurement of grants.
Extensive knowledge of funding sources.
Demonstrated experience in successfully preparing and submitting proposals, managing grants, and developing strong relationships with Jewish institutions, secular charitable foundations, and other corporations.
Bonus: experience in preparing and submitting proposals and managing grants from foundations and corporations focused on education, teacher development, and/or leadership development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, structured, and persuasive proposals.
Flexibility and willingness to work in a changing environment and to work in a complex problem-solving capacity.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines.
Strong project management and organizational skills to manage many small but critical details.
Flexibility, humility, and the desire to continuously learn and improve.
Deep understanding of goals of the Revolve Community and excitement to foster a peer-led community focused on social-justice leadership through the lens of Jewish values.
Benefits, Salary, and Independent Contractor Details
This is a contract position for the term of seven months (November 1, 2020 - May 31, 2021), for no less than 5 hours per week and no more than 10 hours per week (precise number of hours is negotiable). This position is eligible for extension beyond May 31, 2021, at the discretion Revolve’s Community Director. Compensation will be provided at a rate of $26.44/hour, pro-rated from an annual compensation of $55,000. As a contractor, the successful candidate will not be eligible for benefits.
