Virtual Volunteer Event Coordinator (Part Time)
Virtual Volunteer Engagements are an exciting new way to engage volunteers while keeping a safe social distance. Volunteers are shipped pre-packaged kits with all items needed to assemble a donation. From a home office or remote workplace, volunteers join a virtual meeting to learn how to assemble the donation while understanding what impact it will make. Virtual Coordinators will facilitate the engagements from start to finish by welcoming volunteers, instructing them on the project, guiding small breakout groups, and assisting with technical aspects throughout the virtual meeting.
Assembled donations include reusable face masks, care blankets, and craft kits for kids. We’re planning dozens of these engagements from September through October to engage 2,000+ volunteers, and we’re hiring 20+ Virtual Coordinators in three roles to facilitate these engagements.
There are 3 types of Virtual Coordinator Roles:
Instructors: Facilitate event launch, instruct large group, & support facilitators
Breakout Facilitators: Guide small groups of volunteers through project steps
Virtual Meeting Specialists: Provide technical support during meetings
Ideal candidates are motivated, service minded, outgoing individuals who enjoy leading people in meaningful volunteer engagements.
Tech & Other Requirements: Access to a quiet room to participate in virtual meetings along with high-speed internet, computer, webcam, smartphone, and ability to use provided software on a computer & smartphone
