Development & Communications Manager
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt position at $20.00 per hour. Work may be done remotely or onsite as needed. Will need to come into the Chicago office to input gifts 1-2 times a week. Hours are flexible.
Cathedral Counseling Center (CCC) is growing its team to drive CCC’s mission and the expansion of programs to serve more low-income individuals who need mental health services. The Development and Communications Manager will work 20 hours per week and be responsible managing and supporting all fundraising and communications activities for CCC. S/he will work closely in coordination with the Co-Executive Directors, to ensure the quality and timeliness of development and communications activities.
Donor Development
Manage individual donors, grow prospect lists, and increase donor base.
Help manage and maintain data systems, including eTapestry, to track revenue and program data.
Manage the gift processing system including processing gifts, preparing acknowledgments, and reconciling data with the business office.
Assist with imports/exports of data, mail/label merges, and data entry.
Update and maintain constituent records in eTapestry.
Distribute and coordinate development mail and email.
Create donor cultivation opportunities and assist in planning stewardship events.
Communications
Create and execute CCC communication strategies to increase awareness of the organization and financial support. This will include traditional and social media elements.
Work with cross functional staff to develop marketing and audience engagement plans for all key programs and donor engagement.
Lead social media fundraising annual strategy and metrics setting and implement/execute related tactics.
Manage website (updating pages for all related programs, campaigns, advocacy).
Suggest and implement new features and tactics to drive fundraising performance in the digital space.
Coordinate the design, production and distribution of all print and digital advertisements and materials.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience
Excellent communication skills, including developing consistent messaging, compelling campaigns and an overall cohesive communications platform
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong familiarity with HTML email marketing, web-based marketing tools and social media platforms.
Ability and desire to manage own workflow and prioritize accordingly
Ability to work in a small team environment
