Digital Strategist
The Digital Strategist develops and implements strategy to achieve DignityUSA’s goals of 1) increasing participation in its online advocacy campaigns, 2) increasing distribution and usage of its educational materials, and 3) increasing online donors.
The Digital Strategist manages all of DignityUSA’s digital presence, including social media channels, and email program. The Digital Strategist may also have responsibility for updating parts of DignityUSA’s website and managing web-based promotional programs.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Reporting:
Work with the Executive Director and Communications Committee to develop a digital program plan with annual goals and quarterly benchmarks for making progress on DignityUSA’s digital priorities.
Provide regular reports on key metrics that demonstrate progress in online advocacy, engagement with DignityUSA educational materials, and online fundraising.
Email Program:
Coordinate with staff and volunteers to manage the DignityUSA’s email program.
Write, launch, evaluate and report on email campaigns, including newsletters, event promotions, membership correspondence, advocacy campaigns and fundraising campaigns.
Identify and execute online organizing campaign opportunities, including petitions, call-in campaigns and online-to-offline engagement (petition deliveries, etc.), when appropriate.
Lead efforts to test and implement email list growth strategies.
Social Media
Use paid and organic social media strategies to develop engaged and growing followings on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Oversee DignityUSA’s social media presence. Coordinate with staff and volunteers to write posts, develop images, analyze results, and regularly report on social media activity and growth.
Website:
Set up website-based promotions to encourage email list sign-ups, downloads of educational materials, etc.
Work with webminister to add relevant content
Help monitor and report on website analytics
Qualifications:
BA/BS in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience in digital strategy and practices, including digital fundraising
Working knowledge of inbound marketing and analytics tools
Proficiency with a digital CRM and email marketing platform, especially CiviCRM
Proficiency in advertising platforms such as Facebook and Google AdWords.
Proficiency with website CMS platforms, especially Drupal
Outstanding project management, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to plan and execute a program with multiple stakeholders.
Strong writing and editing skills.

Other information:
Hours are flexible. Attendance at a biweekly staff meeting, scheduled at a time convenient to all staff, is required. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Position can be done remotely from anywhere.
Background check is required.
