Social Media Guru
Woodhull Freedom Foundation, a national human rights organization whose work centers on issues in the realm of sexual freedom, is hiring a part-time Online Wizard (or Guru - job titles are up to you). The position is remote, the impact is enormous!
We’re deeply committed to fighting injustices. We mobilize people across the US to fight for our human right to sexual freedom, and all that encompasses.
Oh, and did we mention that we host a Sexual Freedom Summit? It’s four days of workshops, skill-sharing, and powerful keynotes. Plus, Bubbles and Burlesque and sexy storytelling.
If you’re looking to work part-time advocating for human rights, for sexual rights and gender justice, LGBTQ rights, fighting against SESTA/FOSTA, centering conversations about sex and disability, and so much more, you will love working at Woodhull Freedom Foundation.
Requirements - You must be:
  • An organized, detail-oriented person who is able to work autonomously.
  • Able to ask for help when needed, but also take initiative.
  • Skilled in basic office software like Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive.
  • A social media star. Basically, we need someone for whom social media is second nature: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, live-streaming, etc.
  • Proficient in using Hootsuite and familiar with Canva and Slack.
  • In possession of a computer and wifi to work remotely.
Responsibilities - We need you to:
  • Help draft and schedule social media for Woodhull Freedom Foundation and the Sexual Freedom Summit.
  • Draft and schedule emails on Salsa.
  • Help coordinate Sexual Freedom Summit marketing.
  • Monitor social media channels for best practices.
  • Curate content calendars.
Benefits
The biggest perk is the opportunity to be a part of something enormous, to use your social media skills to help shift the conversations, to engage people across the country in creating change, and to advocate for the human rights of all people.
How To Apply
To apply, please send your cover letter, resume, and a link to either a social media campaign you’ve developed or something amazing you’ve tweeted lately. Send everything with the subject line “Online Guru”.
