Marketing Coordinator
This position works specifically on developing and implementing a year-round marketing plan to bring more campers, volunteers and donors to PALS. This person should analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to inform strategies and evolution of efforts while also helping the team understand the impact and the opportunities for greater engagement. The Marketing Coordinator should embody, and be able to infuse the PALS values in all communications.
  1. Grow the PALS family by developing and implementing a year-round marketing plan that focuses on seasonal and monthly strategies for outreach, publicity, and engagement.
  2. Design content for a range of communications: social media posts, website updates, marketing emails, advertisements, and collateral materials - all aimed at driving interest and engagement with PALS Programs
  3. Manage all media components for our programming. This includes media volunteers (hiring, training, support) and cataloging photos and videos.
  4. Develop and pitch news opportunities to relevant journalists and media outlets. Cultivate positive working relationships with those who are involved in areas of influence for the PALS mission.
  5. Work closely with volunteer leaders to support camp planning and staff camps during the summer season.
  6. Report to and work daily with the Managing Director, participating in strategic planning, problem-solving, and other administrative projects.
Skills Needed
We are specifically looking for an individual with marketing and communications experience. We need a team player who can work well and manage our valued relationships with colleagues, volunteers, families, and community partners. We need an exceptional communicator who can create a consistent style and voice and reinforce overarching messages  - in person, via email, on video chat, or at public events. We need someone comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Drive. We need someone who is willing to travel extensively to experience PALS in-person as much as possible. We need someone who can meet deadlines, manage simultaneous projects, and react with professionalism and confidence when new situations arise. We need someone who is self-motivated and proactive. We need someone who can be flexible, adjusting their schedule to meet with our volunteers. We need someone who believes in PALS’ mission - someone who has the professional insight and creative ideas to cultivate our growing non-profit and its community.
This position is full-time and salaried. Employee will work remotely and be expected to travel throughout the year, staffing programs and supporting the staff team as needed. Start date around May 1, 2019.
