Senior Marketing Associate
The Senior Marketing Associate is a highly tactical and creative role, responsible for producing content that expresses the mission and ethos of the VolunteerMatch brand and grows its presence and authority in the broader volunteering community. You will work with our talented Marketing team to create a broad range of marketing collateral, as well as manage many aspects of our external communications strategy. In this role, you’ll interface regularly with multiple individuals and teams within the VolunteerMatch organization, as well as communicate externally to manage events, sponsorship opportunities, partnership requests, guest blog contributors, and more. Our marketing team is growing quickly– the right individual in this role will have the opportunity to assume greater amounts of responsibility and see a clear path to career growth.   • Develop, write and publish content in our marketing vehicles including blogs, email and social media for the nonprofit, volunteer and corporate communities
  • Respond to engagement inquiries via social media, email and blog commentary
  • Assist with research to position content in all VolunteerMatch marketing vehicles
  • Assist with website, collateral and guest content materials
  • Assist with media requests and media collaborations
  • Support all sponsorship and supported advertising for all clients
  • Help to produce webinars and presentations
  • Calculate and report data related to our marketing tactics and performance
  • Find, evaluate, and coordinate our participation at industry events, serving as the main point of contact both internally and externally, and managing an org-wide events calendar
  • 2-4 years’ experience in communications and/or marketing
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to proactively approach deadline-driven environments
  • Comfortable working productively in a remote office environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Interest in civil society, the nonprofit sector, and volunteering
  • Experience with marketing, web and communication platforms such as iContact, WordPress, SproutSocial, HubSpot is a plus
