If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice transforms the law and policy landscape through advocacy, support, and organizing so all people have the power to determine if, when, and how to define, create, and sustain families with dignity and to actualize sexual and reproductive wellbeing on their own terms. 

If/When/How : Lawyering for Reproductive Justice
Network & Membership Manager
We seek a systems-thinker to design processes and manage membership in If/When/How’s community. Partnering with program staff, the Network & Membership Manager will build on existing resources and practices to enhance community member engagement processes, including intake, data collection, communication, and member stewardship. The ideal candidate will be detail and data-minded, while understanding the big picture vision of growing and sustaining the greater If/When/How ecosystem. 
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Design and build out infrastructure for managing the growing If/When/How community, including law students, lawyers, supporters, donors, and allies. 
  • Streamline existing member databases and develop best practices for network and member management.
  • Support the Lawyer Engagement Manager in launching the new If/When/How RJ Lawyer Network, including developing mechanisms for membership, retention, communication, and mobilization for pro bono activities.
  • Work closely with program and operations staff to design and implement a system that captures relevant information and tracks program participation analytics.
  • Manage and sustain the network and membership aspects of the If/When/How community.
Education And Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • Experience in membership coordination and/or database design and management required. 
  • Technical background a plus.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
  • Commitment to social justice and racial justice/anti-racist principles required.
  • Familiarity with reproductive health, rights, and justice frameworks and issues, a plus.
  • Familiarity with law and the legal profession a plus.
  • High level of project management with demonstrated success in evolving and innovating systems.
  • Highly collaborative team player with ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Clear written and oral communicator.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects with a bias toward action.
  • Efficient and organized approach to time management and task prioritization.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change and growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote workplace and willingness to build relationships virtually.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong proficiency with data management or CRM platforms, specifically SalesForce.
  • Familiarity with Box, Podio, and G suite; workplace apps including Slack, Google apps.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Movement Building Director and works closely with the Lawyer Engagement Manager and other program and operations staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: If/When/How maintains a virtual office and supports remote working and flexible work days. Reimbursements for co-working spaces and home office equipment and supplies are available. Occasionally, employees may be expected to be available during off-hours and/or to attend events (e.g., conferences, staff retreats) on nights or weekends.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Most work will be done at a computer. Requires typing and participating in meetings (live and virtual). Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these and other essential functions. 
TRAVEL: Willingness to travel approximately quarterly within the continental U.S. is required to support teamwork and attend staff retreats, conferences, and professional development opportunities. 
If/When/How provides a generous benefits package consisting of fully paid insurance coverage for health, vision, dental, life, and disability; flexible spending accounts (FSA) for health, dependent care, and transportation; retirement plan; sick leave, vacation (starting at 15 days a year, on an accrual basis), and holidays (including birthdays); plus a one-week office closure in December. Employees also receive generous professional development stipends.
