Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the Massachusetts share in a common mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to become productive, responsible and caring citizens. Collectively the MA Alliance serves over 175,000 youth from 53 Cities in 71 Club sites throughout the state.

Temporary Contractor Data Analyst
The Massachusetts Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs is seeking a “Temporary Contractor Data Analyst” to perform and play an important role in its Outcomes Performance Project (OPP). The OPP is a part of a cutting-edge initiative that collects and analyzes longitudinal demographic, output and outcome data allowing Clubs to improve programs, demonstrate impact and inform ways to identify and meet the needs of Massachusetts youth. The OPP provides a statistical backbone to the inspirational stories we hear every day and demonstrates irreplaceable value Boys & Girls Clubs can have on the lives of our kids and teens whether it’s through homework help, mentors, sports teams or the stability they so need.
The data proves it. Invest in kids. Invest in the future.
As a Temporary Contractor your essential functions include:
  • Mine, analyze and model large, structured data-sets to discover trends and answer research questions
  • Lead data analysis, synthesize results, and develop and present strategic recommendations for Club leadership that demonstrate mission impact and inspire action
  • Review work completed to date to create new research questions and enhance analytic protocol
  • Slice data to provide insight across multiple dimensions
  • Go above and beyond initial analysis requests by determining what questions we should be asking; proactively provide answers to the next logical questions before they are asked
Qualifications:
  • Background and demonstrated track record in obtaining and analyzing quantitative data to solve actual business problems.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with analytics, query and data visualization tools. Experience with open source tools strongly desired.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to explain deep technical results to diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • A life-long learner who is curious, has comfort taking initiative and who continuously seeks to improve their skills and understanding.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and remotely.
